2024 Goals

Here are my 2024 Goals!

For the last several years I have put together a list of my goals for the year. I do not do resolutions, instead I make them goals that are attainable throughout the year.

Check out my post here about my 2023 goals. Usually, I do 3 types of goals: personal, work, and health.

For 2023, the goals I was able to achieve were:

  • doing one-on-one time once a week with my kids for about 30 minutes. Towards the end of the year, the kids were the ones reminding me about the one-on-one time.
  • Building more clients at work
  • Increase my workout time to at least 40 minutes a day
  • Squat 175 pounds

Goals Not Met in 2023

As you can see from all my goals, I did not meet them all. It was decided not to go back to school yet. I started to enjoy work and being home more, therefore realized it was not the time.

I did not meet all my workout goals because I got injured in the summer and it led to not being able to do as much as I wanted. Now, I am on the mend and back to building back up.

The blog did not grow as much as I wanted. I am going to focus more on time management and improving the blog.

Also, only eating sugar 1x/week. Who was I kidding. I am naturally not a big sugar eater, but there are things I love and cannot resist. Make it known, as I work out more, I crave more sweets.

I also decided that I was making too many goals for myself and for 2024 I will make less goals as to be able to give more of my attention to them.

2024 Goals

  1. Get CSCS Certification. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. This is something I have thought about for a while. I want to understand strength and conditioning a little more and apply it to the athletes I work with daily.
  2. Take my health seriously. I had some health issues over the summer. I am seeing doctors to try to figure out what is going on but decided next year is the year to focus on that.
  3. Grow Moveyourashpt.com. I am wanting to prioritize my time better and work on the blog more. I said this last year, but it did not happen. I took this year to learn to love my job again and focus on my family.
  4. Time for myself. I mentioned this in my mental health blog post (check it out here). Taking time for myself is something that helps me to be better. I always feel better when I take the time and I know my family also benefits from it.
  5. MedBridge 1x /month. MedBridge is a website where we can take online courses to further our Physical Therapy knowledge. These classes range from 1-3 hours. I can take out 1 hour a month to learn more.
  6. Be better about planning. I have a planner that I prefer to use but found myself using it less and less as the year went on. I know planning helps me with time management, but it always seems to get messed up the further in the year it gets. I am going to try to plan out family events, work, blog time, and other things better to be able to achieve more goals.
  7. Eat better. I do not know about you, but fruits and veggies take a back seat in my meals sometimes. I am not a huge fruit fan to begin with but there are some I like. I love salads and veggies so much more. In the second half of the year, my husband and I started to eat better meals and I want to continue that on.
