Full body exercises work many muscle groups in the body at once instead of focusing on one set of muscles.
The exercises I have listed are different than when you work do another full body workout. This blog will focus on single exercises that will work multiple muscle groups.
Some of the exercises I recommend are body weight activities but the others should use some sort of weights whether kettlebells, dumbbells, or medicine balls.
Benefits of Full Body Exercises
- Increased heart rate and better workout in shorter amount of time.
- If you do not use equipment, these exercises can be done anywhere and can even be cheaper.
- Because you are using more muscle groups at once, you can increase strength at a faster rate.

How Long to Perform
For all these types of exercises instead of my go to 3 sets of 10 repetitions, I will perform them for 45 seconds to 1 minute, 3 times. With a 15-20 second rest in between each one for a good 30-minute workout.
Many of the exercises I have listed are also ones that I have written about previously. For more information on those posts check them out below.
