Good workout clothing can be hard to come by, but I have done the research and some of the hard work for you! If you missed my first post about good, affordable workout clothing, check it out here.
I still stand by what I wrote in that post, but since that time, I have tried other brands and want to give an honest review.
Lululemon
I understand this brand is pricey but since my last post, I have tried the leggings. I can officially say they are my favorite. They are an awesome fabric and hold their shape even after multiple washings. They are also very supportive in the tummy and are comfortable to wear all day at work.
Due to their high price range, I only shop sales and the “we made too much” part of their site. I recommend this if you are interested in trying it out. Also I myself will budget out to save up when I am in need of a pair.
Amazon
I was pleasantly surprised with the amazon workout gear I bought. I have tried several clothing items from Amazon which did not work well but the leggings and bike shorts were a different story.
The leggings and shorts were up there with the softness and comfort of Lululemon, however I noticed they did not last as long. Still a good amount of time for the price point though!
I also tried different types of the sports bras that I did not like. I am picky about sports bras though. Mainly, I do not want any with the detachable padding in the cups which is what the majority of the ones I tried had. No thank you!
Nike
I finally attempted a pair of leggings from Nike. Unfortunately, I did not like them. The pair I bought was from the outlets, because you know I love the outlet prices, but maybe it was just that set, they did not stay in place with any activity I did.
I will always be a Nike shoe girl and still stick with those. If you are looking for a good, comfortable shoe that is narrow, light, and does not have a ton of support in the arch, these too are for you.
Southern Athletica
Southern Athletica is a small company with a limited number of stores. I went to Florida on vacation with my family last year and stumbled upon this store. The outfit I bought is cute, light weight, and has lasted more than a year with no issues so far. I even wore it home on the plane!
This company is on the higher price point but definitely worth looking into if you are interested. I am going to try a sports bra the next time I order from them.
Tango Charlie Apparel
I received 3 shirts for Christmas from Tango Charlie Apparel and I love them. I love the colors and the fit. The clever sayings are also cool. This is a smaller company and I do enjoy supporting small companies. I have only tried one type of shirt from here for my workouts, so my knowledge of any other type of clothing is limited.
As you can see, the only thing I did not care for was the Nike leggings but there are so many other great brands out there to try for good workout clothing.
